Internal migration during the war in Ukraine: Recent challenges and problems

Insecurity, chaotic extensive internal movement, and external migration, growing social vulnerability, decreasing economic stability of internally displaced persons, characterize the migration crisis caused by large-scale Russian war against Ukraine. The aim this paper is to reveal needs (tangible intangible), challenges, opportunities for integration persons in host communities (on example Pidberiztsivska territorial community Lviv oblast). presents sociological survey through in-depth interviews based on questionnaires. sample five strata (four starostyn areas administrative center) amounts 4% statistical population (50 persons). specifies that society’s lack affordable housing (68.6% respondents) limited employment (39.9% are main challenges persons. reveals a low level desire assimilate into society positive aspirations emigrate abroad (13.5% intentions return their previous (permanent) place residence (54% respondents).
